Dato’ Nik Fauzi graduated from the Institute of Marketing (UK), UITM in 1980 and has extensive experience in the highway industry and has successfully demonstrated great leadership in his role as senior management capacities within ANIH Berhad, a concession company that undertakes the operations, management and maintenance of highways namely Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway (KLK) and East Coast Expressway Phase 1 (ECE 1). Dato’ Nik Fauzi had successfully positioned both KLK and ECE1 as a catalyst to spur growth in the three East Coast States of Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan. He also sits on the Board of MTD InfraPerdana Bhd (MTD InfraPerdana).

Amongst the highlights of his career, as Head of Concession Facilities and Services of MTD Prime Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of MTD InfraPerdana, Dato’ Nik Fauzi was instrumental in advancing its involvement in the toll concession businesses, from 1 December 2005 to 15 April 2009 and subsequently, was appointed as Senior Vice President, Head, Operations & Maintenance, Tollways Division, a position he served until 6 December 2011. During this period, he successfully increased the level of services by ensuring full compliance and providing above and beyond services operationally. He was also instrumental in increasing the company’s commitment to ensure a well balance socio-economic environment amongst the highway fence line community. Dato’ Nik Fauzi then assumed the position of Executive Vice President, Head, Liaison and Compliance of ANIH Berhad until his appointment as Executive Director.

Dato’ Nik Fauzi was also appointed as Executive Director of MTD Capital Bhd on 29 February 2020 and is a Member of the Executive Committee of MTD Group since August 2018. He was previously a Director of MTD Capital Bhd from 12 August 2011 to 31 March 2018.

Dato’ Nik Fauzi is also the Managing Director of Nikvest Sdn Bhd, a position he had held since 1994, a Director of Metacorp Berhad, a subsidiary of MTD Capital Bhd and sits on the board of several other private limited companies within the Group.

Dato’ Nik Faizul has a rich professional background, having held key leadership positions in companies like Kenneison Brothers Construction Sdn Bhd, Janas Sdn Bhd, and MTD Group. He has served as an Accountant and Administration Manager, among other roles, and has garnered extensive experience in various aspects of business operations. With his impressive academic qualifications, which include a Diploma in Accountancy from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana State University, USA, Dato’ Nik Faizul is well-equipped to provide expert strategic guidance to these companies.

In 1994, Dato’ Nik Faizul joined MTD Group as the Deputy General Manager in Alloy Toll Management Sdn Bhd, a position he held until 1999. He subsequently moved to the Property and Development Department, where he served as General Manager until 2003, after which he joined the Business Development Department. In addition to these roles, he also served as Vice President of Dimensi Timal Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Metacorp Berhad, from 2009 to 2013.

He brings a unique perspective and a wealth of expertise to the boards of MTD Capital Bhd and MTD Construction Sdn Bhd, providing invaluable guidance and strategic direction.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hartford, USA, Ahmad Tarmizi has a strong foundation in engineering principles and practices. He started his career as a Project Engineer at the Malaysian Highway Authority, where he gained invaluable experience in the planning and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects.

Since joining MTD Group as a Senior Civil Engineer on 15 August 1990, Ahmad Tarmizi has made significant contributions to the company’s success. He was responsible for overseeing the construction of numerous landmark projects, including highways, bridges, and other infrastructure developments.

His exceptional performance and leadership skills have led to his appointment to several other local and overseas private limited companies within MTD Group, demonstrating his versatility and ability to drive growth and profitability across multiple business areas.

Ahmad Tarmizi’s leadership has been instrumental in driving MTD Group’s continued growth and profitability. Under his guidance, the Construction Division has undertaken some of the most complex and challenging projects in the region, cementing MTD Group’s position as a leader in the construction industry.
