Civil Engineering and Construction

The Civil Engineering and Construction Division projects are primarily undertaken by the Group's wholly-owned subsidiary, MTD Construction Sdn Bhd (MTDC).

MTDC commenced business in 1980 and quickly gained an impressive reputation in the design and construction of mountainous roads, specifically the East-West Highway (Gerik-Jeli), Pos Selim-Kg Raja Highway and the KL-Karak Highway. These three projects alone had a combined value of over RM1.3 billion. Drawing on this experience, MTDC diversified into other areas of construction including major bridges, building, geotechnical works, erosion control and highway maintenance.

MTDC practices an active policy of continual improvement through quality assurance, research and development, and most importantly, regular training schemes at all levels of the company. At present, MTD employs over 100 professional staff and has at its disposal a large fleet of construction equipment.

MTDC has the capability to undertake projects with any procurement method as follows:

MTDC is well placed and capable of implementing almost any civil engineering project irrespective of size, complexity or procurement method.

MTDC has been an accredited ISO 9002 company since 1999.

ACPI helms the Group’s other construction and engineering business with activities in construction, manufacturing of building systems products and property development.
