Here to help: AlloyMtd staff unloading basic necessities for the flood victims.

INFRASTRUCTURE conglomerate AlloyMtd Group recently lent support to the flood victims in Kuantan through a donation drive that saw the collection of basic necessities such as food, clothing, blankets, begs, toiletries and washing detergent from its employees.

The groups donation drive aims to instil in our employees the spirit of caring and giving. We also have staff members who live in the east coast states that are affected by the floods.

This is the time to support the people in their hour of need, said AlloyMtd Communications Department head Fazlyaton Hussein.

About 400 employees from the groups headquarters took part in the relief efforts, with the hope that it will lessen the burden of those affected.

Although the water has receded and the situation is almost back to normal, we feel that it is important to help with basic necessities as they struggle to continue their daily lives, Fazlyaton said.

Apart from the donation drive, the group also contributed RM2,000 to five charitable organisations and 16 employees affected by the floods.

AlloyMtd is committed to maximising the impact of their community programmes by providing channels through which time, services and financial assistance add value to their employees.
